Kane County is utilizing Community Development funds provided under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to support a wide array of housing and community development activities aimed at stimulating job creation/retention and improving the quality-of-life for Kane County residents.
Projects funded under this special Federal allocation range from reconstructing dilapidated neighborhood infrastructure to providing foreclosure-prevention counseling services to homeowners impacted by the recession. Other activities include rehabilitating two group homes, making accessibility improvements at a community mental health center, and preparing a facilities planning area application that will lay the groundwork for construction of a municipal wastewater treatment system.
This page offers additional information about these activities as well as contact information for project sponsors. Please check back periodically to view progress reports and monthly disbursement records.
