National Fish Passage Program 

National Fish Passage Program – American Recovery &
Reinvestment Act (ARRA)

Kane County Department of Environmental and Building Management (KCDEBM) will put the funds secured through the National Fish Passage Program from the United States Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS) and the Kane County Forest Preserve District (KCFPD) and in-kind match from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) to work on the modification of two dams located on Ferson-Otter Creek. One dam is located within LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve and the other is located on private property.

Project Status
KCDEBM is in the process of securing signatures for agreement between USFWS, KCFPD, private landowner and KCDEBM.
